Trusted In-Home Care for Westbrook Village Residents

Westbrook Village is an established 55+ (technically 40+) active-adult community in central Peoria, just south of the original Sun City. Built by UDC Homes between 1982 and 1993, the community has roughly 3,900 single-family homes, patio homes, and condos spread across 40 named neighborhoods, all governed by the Westbrook Village Association. Two recreation centers, The Lakes and The Vistas, anchor the community's social and fitness life, and two 18-hole championship golf courses run by Westbrook Village Golf Club add a daily layer of activity. Ativo Home Care serves Westbrook residents across the 85382 ZIP code with caregivers who know the layout of both rec centers, the Fine Arts & Learning Center, and the loop of Westbrook Parkway. We provide companion care, personal care, memory care support, respite for family members, and home support so residents can keep their rec center membership active and stay in the homes many have owned for decades.

Our Caregiver Standard

Skill gets a caregiver through the door. Character is what earns them a place on my team. Every caregiver I bring on is held to the same standard as our Ativo Senior Living teams, because that is the standard a family deserves when they open their door to us. The people who make it through are the people I would want caring for my own parents.

Why Ativo

Why Families in Westbrook Village Choose Ativo

Families at Westbrook Village choose Ativo Home Care because we are connected to the same Arizona senior care network that operates Ativo Senior Living. Founded by Bryan Ziebart, that network has deep relationships with Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City and Banner Thunderbird in Glendale, the two hospitals most Westbrook residents use. Westbrook is the kind of community where neighbors recognize each other after years of seeing the same faces at the Lakes pool or the Sunset Bistro, and our care model is built to fit into that rhythm. Caregivers are matched for continuity, not rotated weekly, so the same person becomes a familiar presence in the home. We help with bathing, dressing, medication reminders, transportation to the rec centers or to Banner Boswell, meal prep, and the everyday tasks that make staying in a Westbrook home possible. Ativo offers flat hourly pricing, flexible hours, and full assistance with long-term care insurance claims.

In-Home Care

Your parent's own home. A dedicated caregiver. Their routine, their comfort, their life.

In-home care at Westbrook Village tracks the broader Arizona market. The 2025 CareScout Cost of Care Survey puts the statewide rate at about $38 per hour for non-medical home care. At about $38 per hour, 20 hours of weekly companion care runs roughly $3,300 per month. Because most Westbrook homes are paid off and HOA dues already cover the rec centers, families often find that in-home care preserves the social network, golf club access, and community routine that a move to assisted living would force them to give up. Ativo provides flat hourly pricing with no assessment fees and assists with long-term care insurance reimbursement.

Our Community

The Westbrook Village Senior Community We Serve

Daily life at Westbrook Village centers on two recreation centers. The Lakes Recreation Center on Westbrook Parkway is the original clubhouse, opened in 1983 and home to the Sunset Bistro restaurant, a ballroom, fitness studios, billiards, an outdoor pool and patio, and most of the community's 70-plus charter clubs. The Vistas Recreation Center on Country Club Parkway is the second clubhouse, with its own outdoor pool, additional fitness facilities, and meeting spaces. The Fine Arts and Learning Center, also on Country Club Parkway, houses dedicated studios for ceramics, painting, photography, sewing, and woodworking. Golf at Westbrook is operated as a semi-private, member-owned club, with the par-71 Lakes Course (mature trees and water hazards) and the par-72 Vistas Course (a 6,400-yard links-style desert course), both open to the public. Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City sits about 4 miles south on West Thunderbird Boulevard, and Banner Thunderbird in Glendale is about 5 miles southeast, giving Westbrook residents two strong hospital options. Arrowhead Towne Center, the major regional mall, is just 2 miles south for shopping and pharmacy access.

5 out of 5 stars
I cannot recommend Gabby and her team highly enough. They became a vital part of my dad's care team and an important advocate for him and extension of our family in the last several years of his life. From home health care to accompanying us to doctors appointments to keeping me company in the ER during several hospitalizations to private care in an assisted living home, Gabby's team was caring, thoughtful and proactive during some very challenging circumstances and also provided essential companionship as well. Call Gabby and her team! You and your loved one will be so grateful to have them in your life, as Dad and I did. Thank you Gabby, I never could have cared for dad alone.

FAQ

Questions About Care in Westbrook Village

Common questions from families looking for in-home senior care in Westbrook Village, Arizona.

Reviewed by Gabriela Ordonez, Director, Ativo Home Care

Do you serve all of Westbrook Village?

Yes. Ativo Home Care serves all of Westbrook Village, including homes near both The Lakes Recreation Center on Westbrook Parkway and The Vistas Recreation Center on Country Club Parkway, throughout the 85382 ZIP code.

How much does in-home care cost at Westbrook Village?

In-home care at Westbrook Village typically runs $38 per hour based on the 2025 CareScout Cost of Care Survey. At 20 hours per week, that works out to roughly $3,300 per month. Westbrook residents often pair private-pay with long-term care insurance, and we help with the claims paperwork.

Which hospital do you coordinate with for Westbrook Village clients?

Banner Boswell Medical Center on West Thunderbird Boulevard in Sun City, about 4 miles south, is the primary hospital for most Westbrook residents. Banner Boswell is a designated N.I.C.H.E. facility specializing in geriatric care. Banner Thunderbird in Glendale, about 5 miles southeast, is the alternate for many Westbrook families.

Can my parent stay at Westbrook Village with home care instead of moving?

Yes, and this is the most common reason Westbrook families call us. Many residents have lived here since the community was built and are deeply connected to neighbors, clubs, and the rec center routines. In-home care preserves that life. Our caregivers help with bathing, dressing, medications, transportation, and meals so your parent can keep their daily schedule.

Do you work with long-term care insurance at Westbrook Village?

Yes. Ativo is private-pay, but we routinely submit documentation to long-term care insurance carriers on behalf of our Westbrook clients. We help families understand their elimination periods, daily benefit caps, and required ADL thresholds, and we coordinate reimbursement directly with the policyholder.
